Hey,

My origin story isn't your typical one. I didn't grow up with a camera in my hands. Always an artist at heart, I tried my hand (and failed miserably) at a lot of different mediums before finally finding this one.

I am fascinated by the human experience, and the duality of light and shadow. Deeply inspired by the endless skies in the prairies where I grew up, point & shoot film, early mornings, my grandparent's love, the way light scatters, & endless other things.

Becoming a mother has made me romanticize our daily rituals, and to lean in to those intricate, imperfect, messy & mundane moments that make up the majority of our lives.

Time is a thief, but photographs are a way to rebel against the passing years. Stealing back a moment in time and preserving it for you when your memory no longer quite does it justice.

There's no doubt I love this work, but it's not the only thing that defines me. You'll also find me hanging out with my one year old sidekick, having backyard barbecues with my pals, sharing cocktails while playing crib with my husband, & watching Friends re-runs.

So, that's me. This is my heart. This is my art.
